This 8 × 8 RGB LED matrix is the same custom design used in the GurgleApps WiFi Color Word Clock, but it can also be used in a wide range of other electronics and maker projects.
Each matrix contains 64 individually addressable full-colour LEDs, making it ideal for displays, animations, indicators, and creative lighting projects.
Two Available Options
This product is available in two variants, depending on how you want to build your project:
🔧 DIY Version (Solder Pads Only)
- Supplied with bare solder pads
- No header pins attached
- Ideal if you want to:
- Solder your own header pins
- Solder wires directly to the pads
- Customise the wiring layout
This option is best suited to experienced makers or projects where flexibility is required.
🔌 No-Solder Version (Pre-soldered Header Pins)
- Supplied with header pins already soldered
- Ready to use with jumper wires or breadboards
- Perfect for:
- Beginners
- Classroom or STEM use
- Quick, plug-and-play builds
